About

Meet our Provider

Sherrie has lived in Navarre since 2001. She is originally from Louisiana. She has been married since 1996 and has two sons. She has been very active in the Navarre community as a mom, swim coach, and nurse. When Sherrie is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, bird watching, walking on the beach, and photography.

Sherrie graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Alabama in December of 2016 with a Master of Science in Nursing. She then became board-certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in Family Nursing Practice (FNP).

She has practiced in Navarre since January of 2017. During this time she has developed a reputation for listening to her patients and having a caring and thorough approach. Prior to advancing her career to a NP, Sherrie gained years of experience as a Registered Nurse with a BSN.

She was a charge nurse for Baptist Hospital's women's acute psychiatric unit where she worked with some of our most mentally-ill patients. She cared for patients with suicidal and homicidal thoughts, delusions, psychosis, and addictions. Sherrie has a clear understanding of Florida's Baker Act and Marchman Act processes. During this time she was awarded "Nurse of the Year" for the women's mental health unit. Sherrie also worked for the University of West Florida as an adjunct instructor, where she educated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Students in mental health, which included simulation training and taking students to mental health facilities for their clinical training.

She was also a Certified Medical-Surgical Nurse at Gulf Breeze Hospital and Twin Cities Hospital where she cared for hospitalized patients with advanced chronic diseases, infectious diseases, post-surgical complications, cancer, and acute diseases and injuries. Sherrie was responsible for training new RNs and students. Sherrie was frequently assigned the most ill patients because she had a reputation of giving exceptional care. She also performed end-of-life care.

Sherrie's mission is to help her patients live their best lives. She treats patients of all ages with an integrative approach to preventative health, acute illness and injury, and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, obesity, and many more. She listens to patients and works with them to create a plan of care that both are comfortable with. Her philosophy is to prevent, manage, and repair the total person, not just the disease process. This may include lifestyle changes, medications, physical therapy, alternative medical treatment, and aesthetics.
